This hike offers some quality hiking time!! High altitude(>3500m) + fantastic views over the Crater of Maragua. In the morning we drive all the way up to be dropped at Chataquila from where we start our hike to the rock paintings Incamachay and Pumamachay.

Lunchtime is usually planned at the rock paintings, where you will get your sandwich, fruit, a bottle of water and a snack. Make sure you bring enough water for the rest of the day as it is a looong long, but wonderful hike!!.

When we get to Tumpeka, the car will drive us up a bit in order to start the Inca Trail, the only known remaining part of the incatrail-network covering the region which was not destroyed by the Spanish conquistadores.. Once you finish hiking the Inca Trail, mostly going up, you will get back to the car and drive back to Sucre, where a free drink will be waiting for you at the bar !!.
