DAY 1 : SUCRE - CHATAQUILA - CHAUNACA - MARAGUA We gather early in the morning in Joy Ride. Then a local bus will take us up to Chataquila (3650m) from where we walk down the Inca Trail till Cancha Cancha, where we have our lunch. In the afternoon we walk to the crater of Maragua. We sleep in the middle of the crater in a community owned and run hostel (100% of the profits go to the community to improve local infrastructure). Good beds with enough blankets and water should be available, but in general the place is very basic / rudimentary. Be prepared... |
DAY 2 : MARAGUA - IRUPAMPA - QUILA QUILA - OBISPO - SUCRE In the early morning we get up and after a simple breakfast in the hostel we walk to the border of the crater. From there we go down to Quila Quila where we have our lunch. If you decided to go back to Sucre in the "local stinky truck", which leaves from Quila Quila between 11h and 13h, be prepared to be sitting / standing / hanging between goats and other local dusty surprises. If you booked our private transport (60U$ extra per group), you have time to visit Marka Rumi, some local rock paintings, and Telapaqui, the highest local mountain for amazing views. | |

PRICE: 260Bs* pp * At least 2 people going Optional: Joy Ride's private transport takes you up to Chataquila (day 1) + picks you up at Quila Quila (day 2) instead of local stinky truck: 60U$ extra per group.
