This tour takes us into the Crater of Maragua!. We leave in a 4x4 early in the morning in direction of Chataquila to start with the Inca Trail: two hours of mostly walking down over the recently restored trails. Once finished the Inca Trail, the car picks you up to drive you in direction of Chaunaca. After crossing the river Ravelo, which can be adventurously high in the rainy season, we have lunch on its banks. |
After lunch it's a 45 minute drive to reach the little town of Maragua in the middle of the Crater. Once you've taken a look around, the car will drive you back to Sucre's 'Probably Best Bar in Town' for your free drink!. | |
In the rainy season, from November to February, the river Ravelo may get to high to be crossed safely with our 4X4. In that case we go to Potolo and visit the local weaveries. This decision can only be made once we get to see the river...
